Pension Services

If the recent government changes affect your business and you now need to provide staff with a pension Jellybean Bookkeeping can take the pain out of that for you too. For a small additional charge we can fully incorporate this service into your regular payroll ensuring you meet all government requirements.

 

Your staging date is important and indicates the point at which you need to meet your legal obligations therefore please allow plenty of time and contact us well in advance of this date. Correspondence with staff is required by law and we include this as part of our service, however you must remember to provide sufficient time before your staging date in order for us to help you meet these legal obligations. We can further explain the process and answer any questions you may have well in advance too.

 

Similar to our payroll services we have found that by splitting our pricing into "First month Set-Up Costs" and "On-going Processing Costs" it has enabled us to keep our monthly prices low.


First month Set-up Costs cover the time taken to collect information and set up the pension scheme for the business as a whole, and also for the individual staff members. For this reason they are slightly higher - however they are charged ONCE only!

  • £20.00 first month charge for setting up each Pension Scheme on our system - which includes one FREE Staff Member set up! Perfect for a small business or freelance professionals.
  • £2.00 first month charge for setting up each extra Staff Member within that pension scheme.
  • The first month Staff Member charge applies for each new employee who starts working with you at a later date.
  • All prices quoted above are exclusive of VAT and are subject to change.
  • These prices are only charged once (e.g. there is no charge to amend a Staff Members information).

Once the first month set-up is complete your staff are ready for the pension assessment which is included in the price. You and your staff will then be notified of the outcome of the assessment.

 

Following the assessment some staff may NOT BE ELIGIBLE to join your scheme and no further charges will be incurred except when they are re-assessed (usually every 3 years).

ELIGIBLE STAFF will be enrolled onto your scheme and contributions will commence in the following payroll period.


From month two onwards a smaller Processing Cost is charged each month for those staff who are assessed as being ELIGIBLE to join your scheme.

  • Just £5.00 per Business per month - which includes one FREE Staff Member processed!
  • Plus £0.50 per extra Staff Member processed that month.

Further Information

  • All prices are per month regardless how often we run your pension & payroll - weekly, fortnightly, monthly or other intervals which is amazing value especially if you need the payroll & pension processed often! If you require quarterly or yearly processing please contact us for special rates.
  • All prices quoted above include calculation of employee contributions and reporting them on staff payslips, and prices also include calculation of employer contributions and preparing a report for your business. 
  • Correspondence with your staff (to explain the changes and how it affects them) is required by law but you can rest assured that this is also included in the price saving you both time and money. All prices quoted above include electronic correspondence only and letters are emailed to each employee. If you prefer paper correspondence there is an additional £0.70 handling charge for each letter that is produced and sent by Royal Mail.
  • There is NO EXTRA CHARGE for submitting your contribution information to your pension provider each month - we'll take care of that for you and they can then simply deduct the correct figure directly from your bank account.
  • We can set up a new pension scheme for you or we are happy to work with your current provider.
  • All prices quoted above are exclusive of VAT and are subject to change.
  • These prices are conditional on paying by direct debit only. A regular payment at the start of each month will cover that months payroll processing service. There is no minimum contract so you are not locked in and you are free to stop the service anytime prior to your next payment.
